A Piece of You.

Moments melt away
And half-remembered
Times blend
And interfere with
My tearlessness
As I pass a spot
Where we stopped
To say goodnight
After our first kiss.
The bind of now
Breaks and blurs
And nearly six years
Converge under a street-light.
We're hugging
And we're not
And never again.

The tears melt away
As I leave the spot
Where we stopped.
The binds of then
Weave and sooth,
Bring me peace.

A piece of you.
